Hexagon wooden inlay / onlay

This striking geometric wooden inlay is inspired by the iconic Hicks’ Hexagon pattern, originally designed by British designer David Hicks in the 1960s. The design became one of the most recognisable motifs of mid-century interior design, celebrated for its bold geometry and architectural rhythm.
The pattern is built around repeating hexagonal forms, with layered linear elements that create a sense of depth and movement. The structured lines connect each hexagon seamlessly, forming a continuous honeycomb-like pattern that feels both graphic and sophisticated.
David Hicks’ work was known for its confident use of geometry and strong visual repetition, and the Hicks’ Hexagonpattern perfectly captures that aesthetic — combining modernist simplicity with striking decorative impact.
This design works beautifully on cabinet doors, wall panels, furniture fronts and architectural features, where the repeating geometry creates a statement surface while remaining clean and balanced.
Our decorative laser-cut wooden inlay panels add architectural detail and character to furniture, walls and interior projects. Each piece is precision cut to achieve crisp detail and a professional finish.
The pattern size shown in the images is intended as a guide and may vary slightly depending on the size of the panels ordered. This allows us to achieve a balanced and symmetrical pattern layout across the finished design.
